# mint utilities API

> Deterministic file-conversion, rendering, validation and lookup endpoints for developers and agents. JSON in, JSON or the raw file out. No account needed for the first calls each day.

## How to call

- POST https://data.voiddo.com/v1/<capability> with a JSON body (or multipart/form-data: field `input` = JSON, files under their field names).
- Add `?download=1` (or send an Accept header naming the output type) to get the raw file instead of JSON.
- Optional: `?src=<label>` for attribution, `X-Request-Id` so a retried call is never charged twice.
- Errors are JSON: {error, message, status, detail}. 402 = payment required (carries checkout_url, packs, related). 429 = rate limited (Retry-After).

## Pricing and limits

- Free tier: 20 calls per day per IP, no key. After that the API answers HTTP 402 with a checkout_url and related endpoints (header X-Mint-Related).
- Credits (prepaid, one-time): $5 = 500 credits, $9 = 1,000 credits, $29 = 4,000 credits. Most calls cost 1 credit; heavy renders cost more (see each endpoint).
- Keys: POST /v1/keys, then `Authorization: Bearer mint_...` or `X-Api-Key`. GET /v1/wallet shows the balance, GET /v1/usage the last 7 days.
- Rate limits: 60 requests/minute per key, 10 per IP on the free tier. Inputs up to 10 MB, 30 s per call.
- Fetching third-party URLs respects robots.txt and refuses private or local hosts. User-Agent: mint-utils/1.0 (+https://utils.voiddo.com/bot)

### POST /v1/csv_profile - CSV and Excel data profiler (extract, 1 credit)
Profile a CSV, TSV, XLSX or JSON table: row and column counts plus type, nulls, distinct values, min, max and samples for every column.
Output: json - {rows, cols, columns: [{name, inferred_type, null_count, distinct_count, distinct_capped, min, max, sample}]}

### POST /v1/currency_rates - Currency exchange rates (ECB) (lookup, 1 credit)
Latest and historical euro foreign exchange reference rates from the European Central Bank, with conversion between any two of its currencies.
Output: json - latest: {base, date, rates}; convert: {amount, from, to, rate, result, date_used}; history: {base, quote, series[{date, rate}]}

### POST /v1/dns_lookup - DNS record lookup (lookup, 1 credit)
Look up A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS, CNAME, SOA, CAA, SRV or PTR records of a public name through the Cloudflare and Google public resolvers.
Output: json - {name, type, status, records:[{type, value, ttl}], count, resolver, elapsed_ms}
Input fields (* = required): name* (string) - Public hostname, e.g. example.com (internationalised names are converted to punycode). ### POST /v1/holidays_lookup - Public holidays lookup (lookup, 1 credit)
Public holidays of any of about 250 countries and regions for a given year, with optional subdivision, language and category.

Render an HTML snippet to a PNG, JPEG or WEBP image at any width, with retina scaling and transparent background.
Output: image/png | image/jpeg | image/webp - The rendered image

### POST /v1/html_to_pdf - HTML to PDF (render, 3 credits)
Turn an HTML document into a print-ready PDF with page size, margins, orientation and page-numbered header and footer.
Output: application/pdf - The PDF document

### POST /v1/image_convert - Image converter (convert, 1 credit)
Convert and resize images between PNG, JPEG, WEBP, GIF, BMP, TIFF and ICO, with quality, fit modes, transparency handling and optional metadata stripping.
Output: image/png | image/jpeg | image/webp | image/gif | image/bmp | image/tiff | image/x-icon - The converted image

### POST /v1/ip_lookup - IP address lookup (lookup, 1 credit)
Reverse DNS name and registry record (network block, name, country) of a public IP address, from open registry data only.

### POST /v1/iso_codes - ISO code lookup (lookup, 1 credit)
Look up ISO 3166 country and subdivision codes, ISO 4217 currency codes and ISO 639 language codes by code or name fragment.

### POST /v1/json_schema_validate - JSON Schema validator (validate, 1 credit)
Validate a JSON document, or up to 1000 of them, against a JSON Schema (draft 7, 2019-09 or 2020-12) and list every error with its path.

Convert text between JSON and YAML with safe parsing, indent, key sorting and minify options, and line-accurate error messages.

Render Markdown to a sanitised HTML page or fragment, or to a PDF, with tables, fenced code, heading anchors, an optional table of contents and a choice of themes.

### POST /v1/pdf_merge - PDF merger (convert, 1 credit)
Merge 2 to 20 PDF files into one document in the order given, optionally keeping their bookmarks.
Output: application/pdf - merged.pdf; meta: {page_count, files}

### POST /v1/pdf_split - PDF splitter (convert, 1 credit)
Split a PDF into parts by page ranges such as '1-2,5-' or every N pages, returned as one PDF or a zip of parts.
